Robert Bartley directs, with Chris Tilley serving as music director
Robert Bartley and Danny Whitman’s musical Dance With Me will be featured this summer in the Festival of New American Musicals in Los Angeles, is a 2007 NAMT finalist and was recently seen in the York’s reading series. Their works have been performed and recorded by Rachel York, Tonya Pinkins, Jen Colella, Tony Yazbeck, Karen Mason and Nancy Opel, and featured in the York’s first NEO concert, MAC/ASCAP Songwriters’ Showcase, “The Music of Broadway: The Next Generation,” and Broadway’s Gypsy of the Year competition. Danny’s family musical The Tales of Custard the Dragon has been produced by The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., on tour, and is currently in performance at The Algonguin Theatre in New York City in a production directed by Robert. Only a Girl, for which Danny contributed music and lyrics, has been produced throughout the Tri-state area. As a Director/Choreographer, Robert was recently represented by The Family Fiorelli in The New York Musical Theatre Festival, and Hair in Peculiar Work’s Obie-winning sequel Off Stage: East Village Fragments. Robert and Danny are the creator/writer/director/choreographer and writer/producer, respectively, of Broadway Backwards, which most recently played Broadway’s American Airlines Theatre.

The 7-Year B*tch, named as an Outstanding New Musical in the 2007 Talkin’ Broadway’s Summer Theatre Festival Citations, is a wickedly funny and bitterly heartfelt concert featuring the songs of Dan Acquisto and Sammy Buck, everyone’s favorite second choice for Broadway, off-Broadway, film and TV jobs. Sammy and Dan give you their tell-all and show you what it’s like to persevere, while five very talented performers sing songs about misadventures in love and work, and never winning a certain performing arts foundation grant each year.
