The York Theatre

PRODUCTION HISTORY

A typical York season features two to three fully staged musical productions by both emerging and established writers.

Many York productions have gone on to commercial off-Broadway and Broadway runs, with numerous others staged at regional, stock, and university theatres nationwide. York’s work has been honored with Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, OBIE, and Lucille Lortel nominations and awards. To date, 47 of our productions have been preserved as original cast recordings—more than any other Off-Broadway theatre company.

Our directors, designers, actors, and musicians are drawn from the finest talent on and off Broadway, including acclaimed veterans and exciting new voices.
